In any form of contact sport, a mouth guard is an integral part of your kit. These protective appliances are typically recommended for athletes participating in sports like:
Sports guards prevent structural damage to the teeth and jaw and prevent injuries to the soft tissues in your mouth.
A customised sports guard is recommended to ensure the highest level of comfort and protection. A sports guard is made from thin plastic, hardened to protect your teeth, and can be customised with your team colours and other designs.
You will require 2 dental visits — the first to take an impression of your teeth and gums, and the second to check the fit of your new sports guard.
Dental Practices across the UK were allowed to open their doors to patients on the 8th June and we are pleased to announce The Rightwell East Dental Practice is open to offer a limited range of dental treatments.
The treatments available depend on the official advice of the Government and Chief Dental Officer for England.
Prioritising patients in need
The Rightwell East Dental practice is open to see patients, however, due to strict social distancing protocols and limitations of PPE, we are only able to see emergency patients who have been phone triaged by our team. People in the greatest need of seeing a dentist will be seen first and we will prioritise all emergency appointments before any routine appointments are made.
Please do not visit the practice without a pre-arranged appointment, as you will not be seen. In the interest of safety to our staff and other patients, only patients that have been triaged on the telephone will be offered an appointment to attend the practice.
If you have a routine appointment scheduled at the practice in the future please call us on 01733 333990 prior to attending as this may have to be rescheduled in line with government guidance.
Speak to us if you need support
Please continue to call us for advice about any dental issues. Our teams are always available to offer you support by phone and will advise when you may be able to be seen if you are in pain.
Protective measures in practice
Our first priority is always the wellbeing of our patients and colleagues. We have made some changes in our practices to ensure your safety. Our reception team will explain these to you when the appointment is made.
